Full professor at the Warsaw University of Technology, director of the Institute of Heat Engineering at the Faculty of MEiL PW (in 1993-2012), since 1996 the director of the University Research Center for Energy and Environmental Protection.

He conducts scientific and technical activities related to the modernization of power equipment, the impact of energy on the environment and programming the development of the manufacturing sector in the energy sector. He is the author and co-author of many publications and articles. From 1971, he participated as a contractor, co-contractor or manager in scientific and research works commissioned mainly by industry. He is the co-author of 5 patents and a laureate of the SIEMENS Awards and the Prime Minister's Award.
